The Barre fitness model is a hybrid that includes elements of dance, Pilates, and yoga with strength training using resistance bands, small hand weights, and other props. All of this is choreographed to energizing, up-beat music that makes the time fly by.  An article from Cosmopolitan described the Barre program as "combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training."
