Strength and TRX
Private & Semi-Private Strength Training at Breathe incorporates a mind/body philosophy to maximize results while maintaining personal balance & building self-confidence. Sessions include weights, resistance bands, body weight, stability balls, low impact cardio, TRX, kettlebells, and more!
In this positive, upbeat atmosphere, you receive support, encouragement, and guidance to help you meet your personal fitness goals. Work with a certified personal trainer to address muscle strength & endurance, cardiovascular fitness, burn fat, build muscle, improve blood flow and lymphatic function. All fitness levels welcome.
We believe fitness is defined by the strength and mobility to move well and feel good not by traditional metrics such as weight, BMI, or measurements.
Group Pilates Apparatus classes are held in our Garnet Garret space - a state-of-the-art, fully equipped Pilates apparatus studio powered by STOTT PILATES® Equipment. Our classes are limited to 4-6 people to ensure that you experience optimum results and the full repertoire of Pilates exercises.
Pilates is based on strengthening the body's core and moving from that strong, stable core outward to the limbs. With this class, you will learn and practice the tools needed to lead a healthy and fit lifestyle, while also remaining mindful in every act you perform.
The precision and control developed by practicing Pilates under the watchful eye of a certified instructor creates awareness of how the body works and how to obtain results from fewer repetitions and with lighter weights/resistance than other strength training methods.
Whether your goals are enhanced athletic performance, living a healthier everyday life, or post-rehabilitative training, Pilates has a diversity of exercises and modifications to suit a wide range of levels from beginner to advanced.
Recovery & Wellness
Rollga and Fascial movement classes teach you how to restore your body to better movement patterns and release myofascial tension to prevent injury or to recover from soreness after training.

Breathe Pilates Place was founded in 2013 by Christine Heckel, STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor and Lead Instructor Trainer, bring the highest level of Pilates training to Southern Maryland. In 2018 she expanded Breathe Pilates Place to create a holistic fitness facility that incorporates strength & metabolic training, yoga, meditation, qi gong and fascia movement/stretch to offer each client the tools to balance mind, body & spirit.

Our highly trained, certified instructors have experience in providing modifications for pain-free movement and pre-hab, post-rehabilitative, & prenatal/postpartum exercise. In addition, our studio environment is adaptable to provide a sensory-friendly experience.
